Himalaya Education Center was established as non profitable Non government organization in 2009 in khandbari city of eastern Nepal . It was established under the leadership of Josh Brody , Tenfriends , sunita and Unity of HEC board member specially financial supports of Ten friends . The Credit of the Establishment of the organization goes to MR Josh Brody an America citizen Mr Chhongduk Bhote Miss Sunita Gurung , Ten friends and other educators of the region . At the time of its establishment , the people of remote areas specially women of Himalayan region were far from education facilities ,there were not enough schools and family were not able to afford for their education sending them to the city . Thus the concept of forming an organization was imaged to support girls for their education and it got the formation of Himalayan Education center formally on 17 th of Bhadra2066 B.S .(………AD)

Since the establishment of Himalaya Education center , it has been supporting the girls for higher education by keeping them in the hostel in khandbari . Apart from this the organization has extended its area and started library support program , Health and sanitation , solar power distribution . Toilet and school building construction, smoke free stove distribution, exchange of culture as well, many members and supporters are working for social service through this organization at presents .
